Many thousands of riddles are current in Chinese communities across the world, and their number is growing fast. The concision of Chinese characters makes the language particularly suited to the snappy wit of the genre, and some of them are also attractive poems. This book takes over a hundred riddles in Chinese, and provides complete romanisation, vocabulary and translation for each of them as an independent unit, allowing the reader to dip in at will. It can be used as a textbook for learning an interesting aspect of the language, or simply as a source of fun.
